Nabbanja addressing NRM supporters from Kira Municipality

The Prime Minister of Uganda Rt Hon Robinah Nabbanja has attributed reported gaps in service delivery in Wakiso district to lack of cooperation from opposition leaders, whom she accused of neglecting their responsibility to channel concerns to government offices.

The Prime Minister was yesterday evening addressing hundreds of NRM supporters from Kira Municipality and Kyadondo East at Kira Municipal grounds on the second day of her ongoing NRM Mobilisation drive on service delivery.

She stressed that Wakiso’s closeness to the capital city makes it a strategic hub for accelerated development, yet the district continues to lag because of what she described as weak leadership and poor utilisation of government resources and called upon residents to vote out opposition leaders for effective service delivery.

The Mobilisation drive was attended by chairman of the National Consultative Forum Hon Kiwanda Godfrey Suubi, RDC Wakiso district Justice Mbabazi and her Deputies, a cross section of flag bearers and hundreds of NRM supporters from all walks of life.

The Prime Minister will today hold a similar public rally at Wakiso playground involving residents of Busiro East and Nansana Municipality.
