Reverend arrested over defilement of four students

NEWS- Wonders never end. The territorial Police in Kiboga district have in detention a Church of Uganda Priest on allegations of defiling four students at an institution he leads as a principal.

News reaching us from the office of the Wamala Region Police spokesperson Racheal Kawala, indicate that Rev. George William Luyimbazi, of All Saints Church who doubles as the Principal of Bamusuta Vocational Institute, all in Kiboga was arrested after the victims reported the matter to police.

Our reporter was able to establish that the said incidents happened between June and October 2024 where he allegedly defiled the female victims aged between 16 and 18.

It is further said that the suspect used the opportunity of his Church and Institution’s residences to commit the crime.

“Preliminary findings indicate that the suspect allegedly defiled the victims at different intervals from his residence at church (All Saints Church Kiboga) and at school (Bamusuta vocational Institute Kiboga),”Kawala said.

Kawala added that after recording statement from victims, they were medially examined and it was established that one of the victims is pregnant.

“Suspect was rescued by police after having been surrounded by parents and by press time was being held at Kiboga police as investigations continue,” Kawala said.
