The Police in Rukiga Sistrict are investigating circumstances surrounding the death of a 43 year old Oliver Mbabazi a housewife and a resident of Rwongora cell Kitojo parish Rwamucucu Sub-county m, whose body was found hanging in her house in a piece of cloth.
Kigezi Regional Police Spokesman Elly Maate the deceased was at her home on 6th December together with her two months old baby, however, yesterday December 7th 2025 evening, she was found dead in her house while hanging on a lesu piece of cloth.
Maate explained that when the scene was critically, it was found to be having a flesh and deep stub wound around the neck, hence raising suspicion that she could have been killed and the body carefully placed to be hanging to disguise the whole plot.
Maate explained that the crime scene was visited by the Police and processed documented and statements were recorded from relevant witnesses and the Police Canine dog was introduced to the scene and led to the arrest of one suspect whose names were not revealed who’s pending thorough questioning by a team of investigators.
Maate said that the body was conveyed to the Kabale Regional Referral Hospital Mortuary for postmotem examination as investigations continue after a knife with suspected blood stains was recovered outside the compound.
