NEWS- The Police in Kabale District have registered a fatal road crash that claimed life of the motorcyclist at Mwanjari along Kabale – Katuna road last night.
Kigezi Region Police Spokesman Elly Maate told journalists that Motorv ehicle UAH 868N driven by Mutanda Mutyaba John a resident of Mbogo in Kawempe Division in Kampala District knocked motorcycle registration number UFR 929L, but particulars of rider are not yet established.
It’s alleged that while motor vehicle was from Katuna side towards Kabale town and motorcycle was from Kabale town towards Katuna direction, the rider left his side and moved to the side of the vehicle and knocked headon with it and he sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital, where he died on arrival.
Maate said that the Police were notified and the scene was visited and documented, motorcycle and motor vehicle involved removed and are currently parked at the station yard pending inspection by Inspector of Vehicles and the case was registered at Kabale Central Police Station under reference number TAR 68/2024 to help in investigation.
