Dr Byabashaija also highlighted the importance of patriotism and stability, noting that prison officers play a vital role in maintaining national security and public confidence in the justice system and encouraged trainees to remain committed to serving the country with loyalty and dedication.

He further assured trainees of continued government efforts towards salary enhancement and improved staff welfare, aimed at strengthening service delivery.

Dr Byabasheija noted that the Service offers job security and a wide range of opportunities for career growth, training and professional development.

The Uganda Prisons Service Chief ended by encouraging the trainees to remain focused, work as a team and take advantage of the available opportunities within the Prisons Service to build strong and meaningful careers.
