Radio Ankole is in high gears as it prepares for the 2nd Edition of Ekijumero, dubbed “Rubarurantojo”, marking 21 years of serving Ntungamo and neighbouring districts.

The station’s manager, Mr. Elly Katahinga—an iconic journalist—has promised the continuity of quality community service through educative programs.

Radio Ankole, a popular Ntungamo District-based radio station, will mark 21 years of existence.

During a press conference held at Radio Ankole station premises in Ntungamo Municipality, the Station Manager Elly Katahinga said the celebrations are a way of giving back to the community that has supported the station since its inception.

The main event will be held on July 4th, 2026 at Kyamate Playground, featuring various activities, entertainment, and other enjoyments.

Elly Katahinga also commended the station directors and the vibrant staff for their commitment to maintaining the station, with listeners appreciating their efforts.

The station accountant, Immaculate Kyomukama, lauded business partners and radio agents for contributing to the station’s revenue, which has helped sustain continuous service to the people of Ntungamo and surrounding districts.

The chief organiser, Mr. Perez Rumanzi, thanked all media platforms for supporting the promotion of such events, adding that Radio Ankole management has partnered and engaged media houses in activities that led to the success of the programme.

The grand prize will include a motorcycle, alongside other prizes such as TVs, radios, and many more.
