Well, as I write this, the former speaker of the 11th Parliament, Hon Anita Annet Among and her entire string of collaborators both in Parliament and outside Parliament are on the hot plate!
Being investigated for corruption allegations emanating from high luxurious living or life style exhibited! For heaven’s sake, why should a public servant be with over 6 luxury mansions or castles yet he/she only sleeps in one room/bed at once! Or own over 10 high class or state of the art luxurious cars on top of official government cars?!! Do all these reflect the money she has worked for in this public office or it calls for audit?
Not long ago being a speaker of Parliament or even District council or a civil officer was a calling to serve but these days things seem to have changed straight from the grassroot parish councilor, LC2, LC3 and District Chairpersons and now members of Parliament every one seems to come into office on a self enrichment agenda!
These so called leaders across a wide spectrum of both local Government and central government seem to be largely on one mission, self enrichment at the expense of tax payers, Ugandans!
However, we want to send a stronger message, that we will fight corruption heads on as Bazzukulu and NRM leaders, we have already got the strong will and the signal from our newly sworn in head of state, H:E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni Tibuhaburwa, this term of office is indeed Kisaja No Sleep, public servants must deliver services to Ugandans without any corruption or secretarian tendencies.
District service commissions must offer jobs to Ugandans without first asking for money from prospective candidates or would be employees.
In this term of office 2026 to 2031 and beyond, We are committed to give all our support to President Museveni towards fighting corruption in all it’s forms so as to achieve Uganda a middle income Country which will eventually make more Ugandans to be proud of being Ugandans.
We equally appreciate all the works already being done by the Chief of Defence Forces(CDF) Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba and we are already joining hands to make the NRM Government deliver better services to it’s citizens in a corrupt free environment.
