The Police in Rubanda District are investigating circumstances under which a 52 year old man identified as Fred Mbabazi an Askari at Muko High School in Muko Sub county who was allegedly murdered by unknown assailants.
The outgoing Kigezi Regional Police Spokesman Elly Maate confirmed the incident and said that the deceasd was a resident of Habutobere village in Butare parish inMuko subcounty and was killed at Muko-Butare Primary School near its kitchen.
It’s alleged that after the deceased had supper from the staff dining room located a few metres away from the kitchen of Muko High School, he went to dress up for duty, but today morning his body was seen by one of the Primary School teacher who alerted the rest and they reported to Muko Police Station.
The Police visited, processed and documented the scene,
exhibits of evidential value recovered and some witness’ statements recorded and the body examined and community Policing was done by the DPC Tumwebaze John Bosco who sensitized people on the importance of neighbourhood watch, reporting incidences to Police as soon as they occur and the value of preservation of the scene.

The body was handed over to the relatives for burial arrangements, but it had left side of the head with deep cut injuries and slightly near the left eye there was a deep stab wound.
