The Bishop of the Diocese of Kinkizi Rt Rev Dan Zoreka has confirmed 88 Christians into the Anglican faith as he bid farewell to St James Nyamirama C.O.U in Nyamirama Archdeaconry in Kanungu District.
The pastoral at St James started with visit started with laying a foundation stone on a commercial house along Rukungiri-Kanungu tarmac road which was constructed by the Parish with the aim of boosting income to the church.
Bishop Zoreka encouraged the church to build more houses along the same road and and utilise all plots further encouraged willing individual to come for public private partnership and use the existing church land.
He also planted a tree as an official opening and asked all Christians to plant more trees so as to conserve the environment.
In his farewell message he thanked Christians for being cooperative with him during his time of leadership of the diocese and also requested Christians to receive the next bishop and cooperate with him the way he will come because people cannot be the same.

Meanwhile the Diocese of Kinkizi is holding the annual Archdeconary Youth Confrences across all Archdeaconries.
The conference that started on Monday 31st August with Kanyantorogo Archdeaconry with 3 Centres of Burema, Bushoro and Kihembe Parishes attracted hundreds of youths.
These Confrences will run throught this whole week under the theme,” Anchored in Christ for Unity, Peace and Stability”.
The conferences of this kind started in 2023 as a post COVID-19 approach to the Youth Ministry and they are held every holiday of second term every year and they will be crowned with a mega Youth fasting at Kirenzi Diocesan Prayer Mountain on 11th September 2026.
