President Museveni yesterday met and interacted with the children and grandchildren of my fallen FRONASA comrades from Busoga who were led by the late Eng Samuel Kasadha.
The President acknowledged that these Comrades contributed greatly in the struggle for a free Uganda but were brutally murdered by Idi Amin and their contribution is the foundation for the peace we have today.
The President said that following this visit, he is going to participate in transforming Kityerera into a model village and thanked the people of Mayuge and Busoga in general for their hospitality.
Ptesident Museveni revealed that during his initial stays and farm duties in Kisozi, Gomba District, he used to find his neighbours seated by the roadside early in the morning and whenever he engaged them, they would say they had nothing to do and could not see any money.
He said that it was through his staff led by Ms Nalwanga, that he launched a program to get them out of poverty by distributing coffee seedlings and cows, supporting their farming endeavours, and putting cash in their saccos to obtain capital and that he what he will do in Kityerera in Mayuge District.
