The National Resistance Movement Secretary General Hon Richard Todwong and other Senior staff from Secretariat have today led a momoth procession in Kampala City as the made their way to the Electoral Commission to hand over the required signatures for President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
Hon Todwong said that the move was in fulfilment of one of the legal requirements for the nomination of President Museveni as the party flagbearer for the upcoming presidential elections.
Hon Todwong expressed high optimism that the collected signatures indicate the overwhelming support the party has across the country and would translate into landslide victories for both the President and other NRM candidates.
He said tgat this historic show of solidarity is a clear testament to the unwavering confidence and trust of the people, as we move forward together for the continued progress of the nation.
According to Hon Todwong, President Museveni is expected to be nominated by the Electoral Commission on September 24th and he called on all party supporters to turn up in big numbers for this historic event.
