Veteran journalist and Lawyer Arans Tabaruka has officially returned to the political scene with a renewed mission — to redeem and rebuild Kinkizi East Constituency.
Following his nomination for the 2026–2031 general elections last week, Tabaruka’s comeback signals a new dawn for a community that yearn for accountable leadership, inclusive growth, and renewed hope.
A man known for his sharp intellect, fearless journalism, and deep understanding of the law, Arans Tabaruka has built a career anchored on truth, independence, and service to the people. His decision to contest for the parliamentary seat is not born out of personal ambition but out of a strong conviction that Kinkizi East deserves better — better representation, better opportunities, and better governance.
“Our people have waited long enough. It is time to restore dignity to public service, empower communities, and give every young person in Kinkizi East a fair chance at success,” Tabaruka emphasized while addressing supporters after his nomination
Tabaruka’s political agenda is centered on community-driven development, education, youth empowerment, and transparent governance. He envisions a Kinkizi East where the rural majority are not left behind, where schools and health centers are properly equipped, and where agriculture — the backbone of the constituency — receives the support it deserves.
His ambition aligns strongly with the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) manifesto, focusing on:
Education and Skills Development – Ensuring every child has access to quality education and youth are equipped with employable skills.
Health Services Improvement – Strengthening health centers and advocating for better medical access in rural areas.
Agriculture and Rural Transformation – Promoting cooperatives, modern farming methods, and access to agricultural inputs.
Good Governance and Rule of Law – Upholding integrity, accountability, and the voice of the people in all leadership decisions.
A Call for Unity and Renewal
Tabaruka’s return has already sparked excitement across the constituency. From the hills of Kinaba to the agricultural landscape of Katete, Kambuga, and Kihanda, his message of hope and reform is resonating with voters who feel disconnected from their leaders.
“I am not here to make promises; I am here to serve. Kinkizi East deserves a leader who listens, who acts, and who stands with the people,”He declared.
As the 2026 elections draw closer, Arans Tabaruka’s candidacy represents more than a political contest — it embodies a renewal of trust between the people and their government. His blend of experience in journalism, law, and community advocacy positions him as a credible, grounded, and visionary leader ready to usher Kinkizi East County into a new era.
