The managing director of Radio Ankole and Mwesigwa Rukutana Co. Advocates Kampala Hon Mwesigwa Rukutana has urged the young generation to always check and support their ageing parents in order to tap on their blessings.
Hon Rukutana said that a parent is the only person who should be loved and cherished most.
He said today during the requiem service of his mother late Beatrice Rukutana at St Andrews COU Ruyonza parish Nyanga Rubaare sub county Rushenyi Ntungamo district.
Hon Rukutana noted that his mother, late Beatrice, was not only a mother but also a friend and confidant who nurtured them after the demise of their father many years ago.
He described her mentor and courage who pushed him to be determined in politics amidst all challenges.
Hon Rukutana thanked God for the life of his mother who died peacefully in her bedroom.
Other children including Namara,Nabimanya, Tagaywa and Norah hailed their mother, the late Beatrice Rukutana, for being a trusted, social and peace loving mother.
They thanked Hon Rukutana for supporting the family and maintaining the legacy of the family.
Lay Canon Susan Muhwezi expressed her sincere condolences to the family of Rukutana for losing their mother and a friend.
Canon Susan Muhwezi commended Hon Rukutana and siblings for the unity and love they showed their mother.
Ntungamo district woman MP Hon Bata Kamateneti said that older persons are the river that everyone fetches water and losing a mother is a blow to the family and community.
Hon Kamateneti thanked the late Beatrice Rukutana for being generous and hospitable.
The Rushenyi county legislator Hon Naomi Kabasharira thanked Hon Rukutana for unity and cooperation to nurse their mother and bury her delightfully.
The Head of the family Kamugyene Eliazari noted that the late Beatrice Rukutana was a mentor and nurtured her children well after the demise of her husband.
The daughters in law led by Sophia Kiryahabwe said that their mother in law loved them equally and will be missed forever.
While preaching, Ven Rev Canon Arthur Twinamatsko the Archdeacon Rubaare reminded all believers that the late Beatrice Rukutana fought a good fight and washed her clothes in blood of Jesus Christ and she will be recognized in Heaven.
Ven Rev Canon Arthur Twinamatsko who was assisted by Rev Moses Kiiza hailed Hon Mwesigwa Rukutana and his mother late Beatrice for constructing St Andrews COu Ruyonza Nyanga Rubaare.
The late Beatrice Rukutana aged 92 years left 6 children and 115 grandchildren and she will be buried tomorrow in her ancestral home Ruyonza Nyanga Rubaare sub county.
