Leaders with Rev. Fr. Oreet

NEWS- Leaders in Teso have praised Rv. Fr. Daniel Oreet as a down to earth leader who has helped in the development of Magoro and Ngariam catholic churches through advocating for fundraisings.

The call was sounded by Daniel Walter Elakas- Okiring who was representing the State Minister for Education and sports (SPORTS) Hon. Peter Ogwang during the thanks giving and memorial Mass of Rv. Fr Daniel Oreet and the late Papa Okeba Samuel in Olelai, Abarilela Sub County, Amuria County in Amuria District on 27th January 2024.

“That’s why our turn up is very big, we are always with your son Oreet, he engages all leaders irrespective of their political differences” Elakas.

He added that Christians in the churches of Okore, Ngariam in Ngariam County and Magoro in Toroma County have rapidly supported the Construction of churches following the involvement of Fr. Oreet.

Elakas, an employee at the Parliament of Uganda handed a five Million (5M) contribution from Minister Peter Ogwang to the family of Rv. Fr. Oreet added that members of the public should remain supporting President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni as the best choice for the current leadership.

He said the presence of the Right Hon. Speaker Anita Annet Among in the 11th Parliament has offered pride and confidence to Uganda at large hence asking the church to continue praying for her in her daily endeavors.

Robert Adiama who represented the state Minister of Works and Amuria county MP Musa Ecweru with One million shillings contribution, said that most youth are perpetual opium smokers which has made most of them forget the benefits of government programs like PDM, Emyooga and others.

Meanwhile, Vincent Okwi the Deputy RDC who represented the vice president Rtd Maj Jesica Alupo Epel as the chief guest with a one million shillings contribution told the public that phase two of PDM is soon coming asking the public to get fully engaged.

Among the leaders present were those from Amuria and Katakwi Districts, Christians from different denominations, clan and opinion leaders among others.
