NEWS- The bishop of the diocese of Muhabura Rt. Rev. Godfrey Mbitse has urged Christians to stop corruption in the country.
Bishop revealed this while addressing the press about the 29th annual Muhabura Anglican Youth Missioner (MAAYM) convention of the Diocese of Muhabura stressing that corruption has been caused due to lack of word of God.
This has driven some people to get involved in worldly things that have led many to becoming hungry of God’s word leading to theft of fellow’s property as well as increased cases of family disputes.
Mbitse added that on this earth, people are fed in two ways of survival not limited to getting local foods but as well as spiritual food given by God to heal hunger and guarantee better standards of living through his son Jesus Christ.
The mission coordinator Rev. Emmanuel Nsengiyumva revealed that they are expecting over 3000 people to attend the convention that kicked off on Tuesday evening up to Sunday evening under the theme from Romans 12;1-2.
Nsengiyumva revealed that various Christians spiritually gain a lot from such a convention adding that it’s why MAAYM organizes it annually hence appealing to the youth and mature people from different parts of Diocese and abroad to attend for spiritual benefits and other ways to handle their way of living.
