KANUNGU- The Bishop of the Diocese of Kinkizi Rt Rev Dan Zoreka has asked the clergy in the Diocese to renew their faith in the new year 2024, by reflecting on the achievements and challenges met in 2023 and be determined to improve and achieve more this year.

Bishop Zoreka made the remarks on Wednesday while speaking at the opening of a two days Clergy Conference that is taking place at Ngotto Island Tourism Hub Bwindi in Kanungu District.

Bishop Zoreka asked the clergy and all Christians to have a focus, change their attitude, look forward and try to be a better version of themselves this year if they are to cause transformation at their duty stations.

The main facilitator at the Conference, Retired Bishop of Kigezi Diocese Rt Rev George Bagamuhunda, presented about financial stability and wellbeing of the clergy and implored them to ensure openness and transparency with their spouses especially about their finances and ensure they plan together.

Earlier during devotion, Ven. Canon Benard Byamugisha expounding on this year’s diocesan and provincial theme derived from Romans 12;1-2, urged the Clergy to keep their position and respect because these are difficult to cleanse once destroyed and asked them to renew their commitment with God.
