Kirima Great Stewards Primary School was today October 13th filled with joy and excitement and celebrations as 28 Christians who included 26 pupils and 2 Boda Boda operators received the Sacrament of Confirmation in a colorful service presided over by the Bishop of the Diocese of Kinkizi Rt Rev Dan Zoreka,
The day began with a lively march through Kanungu Town Streets, led by the school’s vibrant brass band, drawing the attention and admiration of the community and the atmosphere was one of excitement and thanksgiving as pupils, parents, and guests gathered for a service that combined confirmation, graduation, and dedication.
The day was also a special Graduation Day for the Top Class infants who have completed their nursery education and in a moving moment, Bishop Zoreka prayed for and blessed the young graduates, encouraging them to continue in the fear of the Lord as they advance in their studies.
During the same service, 24 Primary Seven candidates were dedicated into God’s hands for excellent success in the forthcoming Primary Leaving Examinations and Holy Communion was celebrated and served to the new confirmands and all eligible Christians present.
Currently, Kirima Great Stewards Primary School is home to 443 pupils, a testament to its growing impact in Kanungu District and the guest of honor, the District Education Officer Shaban Adam commended the school for its outstanding service and contribution to quality education, pledging continued government support.
The Bishop appreciated all works being done by Great Stewards of Hope and remarked its a great contribution to the community development and also argued children to trust God in their life journey and appreciated parents for taking care of the children giving them hope that they shall be rewarded.
The Executive Director, Honest Natukwasa Wilkins, expressed deep gratitude to Bishop Zoreka for his pastoral visit and generosity and on behalf of International partners promised to further commit to supporting the education of Kanungu community.
In his sermon, Rev Bob Mbabazi, preacher of the day, emphasized the renewal of children’s hearts urging them to turn from stubbornness to soft hearts that obey God and respect their parents and this message resonated deeply with both pupils and parents.
The Headmaster Ben Steven Natuyamba lauded the school’s impressive academic record, revealing that Kirima Great Stewards ranked 6th in the district mock examinations and expressed optimism for even greater success in the upcoming PLE results.
The day ended in celebration, with music, dance, songs, and heartfelt prayers of thanksgiving as the entire school community rejoiced in God’s faithfulness and the bright future ahead for Kirima Great Stewards Primary School.
