NEWS- Kampala City socialite and Businessman Nasser Nduhukire alias Don Nasser has been remanded to Luzira prison on charges of aggravated trafficking and sexual exploitation of an underage girl.
Don Nasser was arrested over the weekend from neighboring Kenya where he was smoked out hiding to evade authorities from Uganda.
He is accused of transporting a 16 year old girl from Tangore apartments in Kamwokya along Acacia Avenue and harboring her at his residence in Kito zone In Kira Division for 4 days from 23rd-27th May 2024.
Don Nasser is jointly charged with Ateete Promise, a 19 year old personal assistant to Ntungamo Municipality MP Yona Musinguzi who was the first person to be charged in this case and bailed out.
However her bail has been cancelled today following the amendment of charges to aggravated trafficking and introduction of Don Nasser as the second accused person.
The two have been sent on remand awaiting trial before the High court as charges of aggravated trafficking in children and defilement are capital in nature where the magistrate court has no jurisdiction.
They have ordered by chief magistrate Ronald Kayiizi to report back on 8th/ October as police inquiries continue.
