The National Resistance Movement Party Presidential Candidate Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has confirmed plans to construct more alternative roads on the outskirts of Kampala and Mukono districts as a traffic jam decongestion strategy in the centeral bussiness area
President Museveni made the remarks yesterday while updating his supporters in Mukono district on the progress of Mukono – Jinja re-tarmacking works, the planned road connecting Mukono district to Wakiso district via Ssentema abd mentioned several completed Tarmac roads like Kampala – Mukono, Kayunga – Kangulumira – Jinja- Katosi – Jinja roads among others
While addressing a campaign rally at Nagalama primary School Play Grounds in Mukono district Candidate Museveni said that the high number of government and private schools in Mukono district are a clear indicator of development fostered by the NRM government and has rallied the electorate of the area to extend the NRM tenure and avoid voting for diversionary opposition politicians.
President Museveni cited the 220 government Primary schools and 25 government Secondary schools in Mukono district upon which he intended to increase and the 962 private primary schools and 270 private secondary schools in Mukono district that all he attributes to the enabling environment initiated by the NRM government.
He noted that the high number private sschools indicate wealth and and financial capability of residents all fostered by the NRM government and he rallied masses to re-elect him into office and all NRM Flag bearers for better service delivery
President Museveni also confirmed plans to scale up health and education initiatives for Mukono district and quantified the 96% safe and clean water distribution strides across the 591 out of 610 villages of the district and promised to reach the remaining 4% of the total villages in Mukono district in his next term of office.
Candidate Museveni said that the 560 factories established in Mukono district has immensely contributed to job and wealth creation in the area and the country at large and has promised to address concerns on minimum wage
He noted that his government is deliberately aiding crucial sectors for job and wealth creation as demonstrated by thriving Industrial parks in Mukono district and has rallied the people of Mukono district to re-elect him and all NRM flag bearers for more and guided on other job and wealth creation sectors.
The National Resistance Movement Party Presidential Candidateg Museveni therefore rallied all and sundry in Mukono district to directly partake of wealth creation programs as guided by the NRM government.
He noted that the initiation of wealth creation support funds like the Parish Development Model Initiative is intended to alleviate poverty across board and has asked Mukono residents to actively participate in their respective Parish Sacco PDM meetings to guide on the operationalization of the funds and rallied Mukono residents to take advantage of the immense infrastructural developments in their area to create wealth at individual and household levels.
The First Lady Maama Jannet Kataha Museveni who is also the Minister of Education and reminded the electorate of Mukono district to massively turnup on polling day and vote for the NRM government resoundingly and explained thattť during the NRM presidential campaign rally at Nagalama primary school Playgrounds in Mukono district
While addressing the same gathering, the NRM second National Vice Chairperson female Rt Hon Anita Among has highlighted development strides for Mukono district and called out opposition legislator for Mukono Municipality to acknowledge the NRM government’s contributions to her area and personal life.
