Nyakahuma reminded the Sacco leaders that through training and media publicity, the Sacco will be visible to the community, thus urging them to sensitize the masses on its use and benefits. The commissioner stated that Saccos have decreased the poverty ratio of Ugandans because of the low-interest rates they incur in their loans.

Nyakahuma discouraged vendors from opting to take loans from money lenders but to rather resort to Saccos given their different advantages highlighting that the government is injecting money into parish Saccos under the Parish Development Model such that all Ugandans will benefit, and the poverty level will decrease.
