After months of selfless service, silent mobilization and unwavering loyalty to the patriotic cause, the day of honour finally came for Jonan Muhumuza — a cadre who chose to work without a title, but with a pure heart for his country and his people.
In his address, the General Secretary paid glowing tribute to the foot soldiers of the movement — members of the MK Army, Team Chairman structures, and all patriotic Ugandans who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to keep the PLU fire burning.
He singled out PO-092 Jonan Muhumuza for special recognition, commending him for his exceptional commitment, discipline, and for faithfully working within the PLU structures long before his official unveiling. His was not a story of appointment first and work later — but of work first, sacrifice first, and honour after.
”Mr. Jonan Muhumuza has proved that true patriotism is not about positions, but about purpose. He has mobilized, united, and inspired without seeking the
spotlight,” the General Secretary noted.
In a double blessing for Ntungamo and the entire PLU family, the General Secretary also announced that PO-092 Jonan Muhumuza has been appointed as a Secretariat Officer responsible for Transport and Welfare — a strategic docket that places him at the heart of caring for the movement.
The meeting was reminded that all appointments of Coordinators and Patriotic Officers are made under the authority of the National Chairman, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, through established assessment and intelligence structures that weigh patriotic commitment, integrity, and mobilization ability above all else.
The atmosphere in Naguru was electric with unity as notable stakeholders including Gen. Savimbi, Dan Nsiimire Bukabeeba, Nicholas Twikirize Mugyenyi, Mpumwire Magambo, Bamutonda (Bamz), Mr. Akim, Chairman of all LC3 Chairpersons in Ntungamo, and many other PLU leaders unanimously pledged their total loyalty and commitment to work under PO-092 Jonan Muhumuza.
For Ntungamo, this is more than an appointment. It is a new dawn. It is a call to unity, to organization, and to patriotic service. Under the leadership of PO-092 Jonan Muhumuza, Ntungamo District has found a coordinator who is not just appointed, but anointed by his works.
