Minister David Bahati

NEWS- A Section of Leaders from Kabale district local government have hailed the Minister of state for trade, Industry and cooperatives Hon. David Bahati for his, tremendous support to the countless projects that has made the district move forward in terms of development.

Leaders said this today while attending the fundraising ceremony for St. Charles Secondary School Kicumbi at Kicumbi Catholic Center.

Leaders who included, the Kabale District Residence District Commissioner Mr. Godfrey Nyakahuma, Kamuganguzi Sub-County chairman Mr. Erias Twesigomwe who was the host leader, the Katuna town council Mayor Mr. Elvis Nzieirwe, Ryakarimira town council Mayor Canon. Enock Kazooba, Kitumba Sub-County Chairman Mr.Muhereza David, Rubaya Sub-County Chairman Mr. Nelson Atukwase, Kibuga Sub-County Chairman Mr. Kojo,Kabale district LC5 Councilor for Kamuganguzi Alex Owemani and Kamuganguzi Woman LC5 District Councillor Peace Rutarimara among others.

The leaders said that Minister Bahati who is the Mp. Ndorwa West and NRM chairman Kabale district  has done his level best to lobby for not only the peaple of Ndorwa West but the entire Kabale district. Canon. Enock Kazooba among others mentioned some of the projects like extension of electricity to almost all the parishes, extension of clean waters to the hills of Kitumba, Kamuganguzi, Ryakarimira and Rubaya sub-counties adding that the minister has promised to see the peaple in the hills of Butanda and other areas get the same services.

The chairman LC3 Kamuganguzi Subcounty Mr. Erias Twesigomwe explained that apart from lobbying for such services from the NRM government led by HE Yoweri Kaguta Museven, there is no church project,school project or any community project that Minister Bahati has not contributed from his own pockets.

He gave an example of roofing the whole of Kicumbi Catholic Center church, where the minister donated all the 400 ironsheets and all the roofing bars and many more others.

The minister who was the the chief guest being represented by the RDC Kabale Mr. Godfrey Nyakahuma said that he will never get tired of serving God,the peaple of Ndorwa West and all Ugandans. He appreciated religious leaders like the Bishop of Kabale Diocese Rt. Rev. Callist Rubaramira for working hard in hand with the NRM government by fostering development through education.

Rev. Father Maniragaba Garasiano appreciated Minister Bahati for serving God with one heart. He said that the minister true has supported many church projects, appreciating him for also supporting St. Charles SS Kicumbi.

The function which was organized to support the construction of the girls’ hostel saw over Ugx 16 million and over 60bags of cement.
