
NEWS- Kanungu District Education Officer Shaban Adam has called on the student leaders to be humble and calm if they are to lead their fellow students in which ever the schools they are in.
Shaban Adam made the remarks October 9th 2024, while presiding over the swearing in ceremony of Kinkiizi High School precetorate body tha was led by Arinda Bannet as Headboy and Ms Ahimbisibwe Prudance as Headgirl and the day was also used to reward the academic giants of the school from S.1 to S.6 and the best performing teachers whose students scored distinctions in the subjects they teach.
Shaban Adam noted that becoming a leader call for self-sacrifice where an individual must understand the institutional undertaking so that he she can overcome his weaknesses and a good leader must be ready to read hard and perform well and a well performing student should know that there is still a lot to achieve.
He advised the students to aim at academic excellence and urged those in leadership positions to lead by examples.
The Headteacher Rev Emmanuel Mutabazi said that the school was celebrating increased enrollment of students with the current number at 2,024, Good academic performance and excellent performance in co-curricular activities like in scouting where the school excelled at National level and thanked the teachers at the school who have helped achieve all this and more others.
Rev Mutabazi said that it’s a tradition at Kinkizi High School – Nyakatare to reward academic giants as one way to inspire others to perform better and the two giants from each class were given scholastic items.

The event was attended by the Chairman Parents Teachers Association Moses Turinawe and civic leaders all who called on the students to identify their potential and ensure that they excel in their career development.
Kinkizi High School – Nyakatare is a mixed Day and Boarding, Church of Uganda founded and government funded school located in Kanungu Town Council and it’s the oldest Senior Secondary School in Kinkizi Region and was previously known as Ruhayana.
