KABALE- Horeb Ndyamuhakyi, the KAYM Mission Coordinator from the Diocese of Kigezi, has challenged students to prepare for their destiny when it’s still early for a better tomorrow.

He revealed this on 7th March 2025 during the Orientation ceremony of senior one and senior five students of Nyaruhanga High school in Rubanda Town council Rubanda district, which was held at the school premises.

Preaching to the students, the KAYM Mission Coordinator from the Diocese of Kigezi said that it is good for the students to start bad and end good, start good and end good, but it is worse to start good and end bad or start bad and end bad.

Horeb Ndyamuhakyi warned students against joining bad companies at school, which he said may contribute to poor destinations. He said that it is from this stage where students register early pregnancies, and it is the stage where people lose or shape their destinies.

Horeb Ndyamuhakyi said that at the primary level, pupils are singing songs about what they will be in their future, but at the secondary level, it’s where they lose their ambitions, dreams, and destinies.

“You are not created for disaster but for supremacy,” Horeb said.

He further said to the students that they are carrying their destiny within their hands, like they are carrying a glass, saying every decision they make, whether good or bad, will account for their destiny.

Francine Turyazayo, the Political Assistant for Hon. Ninsiima Evelyn Kikafunda, aspirant MP for Rubanda district, who was the chief guest, warned students against what could affect their studies.

Turyazayo said there is land fragmentation in the Kigezi sub-region, saying the only hope for students is to concentrate on their academics.

Nyaruhanga High school Head Teacher, Robert Katebarigwe, lauded the president of Green Environment Promotion, Ninsiima Evelyn Kikafunda, for sponsoring three students at the school.

Katebarigwe said that Kikafunda has been doing this even before joining politics, and they were grateful that she chose to support Nyaruhanga High school among the many schools in the district.
