NEWS- The Police in Kisoro District are investigating circumstances surrounding the death of a 32 year old man identified as Aloysius Tukamuhabwa a market tax collector resident of Kashija Ward in Rubuguri Town Council who was yesterday morning allegedly found murdered in Rubuguri Township.

Kigezi Regional Police Spokesman Elly Maate told journalists that that the case was reported by Ms Tushemereirwe Gloria that the wife of the deceased, that her husband left home the previous day for Rubuguri Market to collect tax dues as usual and last saw him when she checked on him in the evening to buy household items and went back home and waited for him but he never returned.

Maate explained that it was yesterday morning she got information that her husband was found naked dead in Rubuguri Town and he proceeded to the scene of crime and identified her dead husband and went to Rubuguri Police Station where she reported the matter and the Police Officers proceeded to the scene of crime and cordoned it.

Maate said that the scene was visited and documented by Scene of Crime Officer and a Police sniffer dog was introduced to the scene of crime where it picked the sent upon which 4 suspects he declined to name were arrested to assist in police investigations.

The Police picked the body and conveyed to Rubuguri Health Center IV where postmortem examination was done and later was handed over to the relatives for decent burial and the Police has appealed to the general public that anyone with information that can lead us to establish the perpetrators, should volunteer that information so that they are arrested accordingly.
