However his prominency was during the 17th Guild Regime where he rose as the GRC representing Public Health Students and also appointed as the 17th Guild Minister of Health by the then Guild President H.E Mukonyezi Owen (Team Bees).

Early this year in April 2024, MMU held their Guild Elections which attracted three candidates including Hon Nsabimaana Davis (DNK), being the first Medical Student to contest for this race.

With his slogan NOT ME, US!, DNK was able to gunner much support capable of only earning him 2nd position with 301 votes, losing to Alijuna Laurent who garnered 417 Votes and

Namusika Specious who trailed with only 227 Votes while 98 votes were invalid.

Below reads part of the letter;

The Hon Nsabimaana Davis,

Receive our heartfelt love and celebrations on your Birthday!

 We understand how much you mean to us as Students and we write this to clearly erucidate our deepest feelings about for you.

First of all we apologize on behalf of the entire MMU community for not understanding your point in the need for the “NOT ME, BUT US!” Student’s Guild Government. We were deluded by the cheap politics of identity, sectarianism and quick handouts but today just like all days since the swearing in of the 18th Guild Government, we confess that we have seen days. Bad days at Campus.

Even in all this blander, we acknowledge that you forgave us and humbled yourself to continue serving and advocating for the common Student. Thank you for not letting MMU be known only in Rwenzori Sub-Region but also nationally through your representative tours.

One of our students made a request weeks ago, that we should go to Kagote playground and kneel down for you and apologize for what we did, but even when we didn’t do it physically, our humility to the point of writing this letter conveys the message best.

Now that the regime is almost done, with non of the students’ representatives ever allowed to sit in the Faculty and Library Board meetings, we can only accept that we messed and we repent never to repeat the same.

Our humble pledge to you Hon DNK is that we are committed never to listen to manufactured propaganda, sponsored humiliation from the administration, cheap politics based on tribe, religion and origin, Faculty or course program and petty cash, goodies and promises of Ministries and other benefits.

Our prayer is that our good Lord grants you good health to continue guiding us and being a beacon of hope and serving humanity, both at MMU and our country Uganda. We wish you Merry Birthday celebrations!
