Paacwa police in Kagadi district have arrested a-20 year old man for allegedly sodomising four minors.
Micheal Kandole,a resident of Kasonga trading center-Kyakabanda village in Paacwa Sub-County was arrested by police after all the four victims confessed to have been sodomised by Kandole.
The children all pupils of Kiranzi P/S confessed to have been abused at least twice.They said Kandole would ambush them at river Ruzaire bathing and have forced anal sex with them.
The minors said following the tragic incident, they declined to report the matter to their parents fearing that they would be punished.
However after continuously feeling severe anal and stomach pains, they reported the homosexuality acts to their parents who tipped off police that arrested the suspect.
Edward Kirabo and Juliet Asaba,parents of the children said the suspect Micheal Kandole has admitted sodomising the minors.
The couple says the homosexuality act has shocked the residents because it’s a rare incident in their community.
Homosexual acts are illegal in Uganda and anyone convicted faces life imprisonment.
The legislation imposes the death penalty for so-called aggravated cases, which include having gay sex with someone below the age of 18 or where someone is infected with a life-long illness including HIV.
