NEWS– The Mitooma District Deputy Resident Commissioner, Merycent Abiine Ariyo has threatened to launch a war against false witch doctors in Mitooma district that have made it a norm to corn people of their belongings promising them miracles.
Abiine sounded this warning on Wednesday while speaking to residents of Mushunga parish in Mitooma Sub County, Mitooma district, with Mushunga being a leading parish with false witch doctor.
It should be remembered that recently, a business man Emmanuel Nshimeimana from Kakumiro district died in a witch doctor’s shrine in Mushunga and the culprits are still on the run.
The first revelation was made by the Office In Charge of Mushunga Police Post Afande Francis Mwesigye who stressed that people in the area live in fear of such a habit that the young generation has made a job for their livelihood.
Mwesigye stressed that people are dying every day in such scandals hence a need for government intervention to fight this habit.

It’s from this point that the Mitooma district deputy RDC Merycent Ariyo ordered that people should start revealing information related to this practice so that the culprits are dealt in strongest possible terms.
According to her, such acts are tarnishing the image of the district.
