NEWS- Ntungamo District Chairman Samuel Mucunguzi Rwakigoba has commended the tenure of outgoing Ntungamo district service commission chairperson Hilda Rwamashongye describing it as zero tolerance to corruption tendencies during recruitment process.

During the handover in the Service commission boardroom on Monday, Mucunguzi Rwakigoba urged the newly appointed District service commission chairperson Alex Twebuuze to uphold the public standing orders while executing his duties noting that his appointment is signaling the beginning of a new November revolution aimed at fighting against the errant corrupt officers and poor service delivers in the district.

He assured all civil servants to be promoted to different portfolios internally and then advertise the vacant positions to attract the foreigners.

If approved by the Public Service Commission, Alex Twebuuze and Eva Kagimba will join Rev. Can Joash Tushangomujuni, Eng. Kam Tobias Rugumire Karekaho, and Mary Beinamaryo Wagaga on the commission.

Hilda Rwamashongye was replaced after completing their four-year terms as Chairperson.

The outgoing chairperson Hilda Rwamashongye Turyahikayo hailed the Ntungamo district service commissioners for   upholding integrity, transparency, honesty and accountability which enabled them to serve without any queries.

Rwamashongye implored the new commissioners to maintain zero tolerance to corruption as the only way to serve public diligently instead of the public selling and buying jobs.

The handover was witnessed by CAO Ndifuna Matthias, office of the RDC and secretary to District Service commission Katusiime David Kabaka among others praised Rwamashongye for addressing corruption and bribery within the commission and restoring integrity to the district’s job market.
