The Ntungamo Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Isaiah Kanyamahane has been transferred to Kitagwenda District.
RDC Kanyamahane handed over the office last evening to Madam Kageiga Miriam who has been the RDC for Kalungu District.
He confirmed his transfer in a telephone interview with our reporter.
According to Kanyamahane, these transfers are normal since the appointing authority can decide to send one to serve him in any district dismissing the speculations that his transfer could have been politically-motivated.
He hailed the Ntungamo District leadership and the media who have overwhelmingly supported him in executing his duties noting that Ntungamo has been his home away from home having served here before as the Deputy RDC to then RDC George Bakunda.
He also urged the people of Ntungamo to co-operate with the new RDC Kageiga Miriam for the development and the extension government programs in the district.
