RUKUNGIRI- Nyakibale upper boarding and primary school last week awarded 2024 Primary Leaving Examination candidates for the good performance. The function was held at the school grounds in Eastern Division, Rukungiri municipality.

The chief guest at the function was Centenary Bank Rukungiri Branch Manager Vanasio Mpirwe who called upon teachers to always equip learners with survival skills other than focusing on class based knowledge that will lead them turn into job seekers.

Mpirwe further urged the former Primary Seven candidates not relax but instead to work hard to maintain excellence at the end of their next cycle of Education.

Speaking at the same event, the Rukungiri municipality education officer Alfred Katabazi Mutuza praised the Catholic founded schools for always academically elevating the name of Rukungiri municipality at the national level.

The Nyakibale Upper Boarding Primary School head teacher Mugisha Bruno called for support of the school with infrastructure, reduction on the cost of electricity and water that have seen the school cripple in service delivery.

Mugisha narrated that his appeal for the above is key in ensuring continuity in better performance and equipping the learners with basic required knowledge.

Nyakibale upper boarding and primary school got 102 students in first grade and 44 in second grade making it the best performing government aided school in Rukungiri Municipality.
