PM Nbbanja delivering a lecture

NEWS- The Prime Minister of Uganda Rt Hon Nabbanja Robinah spent part of Friday afternoon engaging local leaders undergoing a transformational Leadership course in Kaweweta on a topic entitled “Mindset Change,  Entrepreneurship and leaders as role models in the transformation of society”.

On arrival at the Oliva Reginald Tambo Leadership School Kaweweta in Nakaseke district, Nabbanja was received by the Gomba woman MP Sylvia Nayebale,  Kiboga West MP Abdul Mutumba,  Mbarara City Woman MP Ritah Atukwasa and Noah Mutebi the MP for Nakasongola Constituency.

The Premier called for patriotism, commitment, and time management as key principles in the transformation of society.

The 11 day’s course expected to end on Saturday 7th September 2024 is organised by the Office of the Prime Minister in conjuction with Ministry of Local Government and Patriotism Secretariat.

The course has attracted over 1000 leaders from ten districts camped at the National Leadership Training Institute & Oliva Tambo training School Kaweweta respectively.

It is running under the theme “Enhancing Leaders’ Capacities in monitoring government Programmes to improve service delivery.

Today, Saturday Nabbanja will address  leaders camped at the National Leadership Institute Kyankwanzi and officially open the course.

The Leaders include RDCs, LCV Chairpersons, members of the  district executive committee, District Councillors, special interest group leaders ,NRM &LC3 Sub county chairpersons.

These are from the districts of Yumbe, Kalungu, Gomba, Kibuku, Kibaale, Masaka, Mbarara,Kiboga, Nakasongola and Mbarara city.

This is a second training session for local leaders organized by OPM  under similar objectives. The trainings will cover the entire country in a phased manner.
