The National Resistance Movement Party Presidential Candidate Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has today concluded his campaign trail in Ankole Sub region with last campaign rally in Rubirizi District where he emphasized prioritization of key infrastructural developments and planning for socioeconomic empowerment
While campaigning at Kyenzaza playgrounds in Rubirizi District, President Museveni mentioned additional roads planned for tarmacking in the District to add on the areas currently with tarmac coverage and also guided on several other contributions of the NRM government including the thriving peace and security in the country
The Presidential candidate called on Members of Parliament to align budgeting to priority areas identified for in the NRM manifesto for lastmile service delivery.
He confirmed plans to elevate Rubirizi Health Center IV to a District General Hospital and elevation of several Health Centers IIIs in the district since all Sub Counties are fully covered with at least a Health Center IIIs.
President Museveni guided the people of Rubirizi District to emphasize wealth creation as government fast track infrastructural development and elaborated the NRM integrated wealth creation and job creation strategy through commercial agriculture, manufacturing, services sector, ICT and skills training.
Candidate Museveni cited several examples to emulate for intending wealth creators with guidance on the profitable economic enterprises and said that he is committed to increase funding for socioeconomic empowerment funds to expedite wealth creation initiatives at the grassroot.
President Museveni promised to enhance inspection of all wealth creation intervention moving forward and guided on proper land utilisation for small and large scale land owners and revealed to the people of Rubirizi District plans for the education sector in addition to the 58 government Primary schools and 10 Secondary schools already in the district.
He later handed over the flags to the NRM Parliamentary candidates and the LC 5 flagbearer in Rubirizi District where he called on all NRM supporters to rally behind the party candidates so that once they are in office, it becomes easy to work with them for development.
