NEWS- The Prime of Uganda Rt Hon Robinah Nabbanja has today made her maiden visit to Kitgum District for a one day working visit.
The Prime Minister was warmly welcomed by the Minister of State for Water and Environment Hon Beatrice Anywar and a cross section of local leaders after which she visited Kitgum Central Market and supported their businesses.
Prime Minister Nabbanja also visited Kitgum Comprehensive Secondary School and laid a foundation stone for the construction of a Girls’ dormitory.
She later inspected two churches which are under construction at Christ the King Catholic Church Kitgum and St. Janan Luwum Church of Uganda and she pledged to support both churches.
The Prime Minister crowned her visit by presiding over belated women’s day celebrations for Kitgum District at Boma grounds graced by hundreds of residents and during the function she officially welcomed over 300 residents who crossed from Forum for Democratic Change to the ruling NRM party.
