Museveni arrive at Aculbanya Primary School in Kore District

The National Resistance Movement Party Presidential Candidate Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has confirmed cabinet’s approval of cattle restocking initiative for Lango, Teso and Acholi Sub regions in monetary terms and payments are slated to start immediately after elections.

President Museveni noted that earlier cattle restocking initiative was frustrated by endless court cases and lawyers who misled beneficiaries with intentions of profiteering from the program.

While addressing a campaign rally at Aculbanya Primary School Play Grounds in Kore District- Lango Sub region, President Museveni said that the government had already injected Ugx 159 billion in the cattle compensation program before, but there were anomalies into the restocking program and ordered for its halt.

Candidate Museveni said that cabinet approved cash payment for beneficiary households and confirmed availability of funds meant for the program and rallied the voters of Kore District to continue entrusting the NRM government for its strategic approach to national development and socioeconomic transformation of the populace.

He cautioned the voters of Kore District against voting for bad opposition leaders inclined to bad politics of sectarianism and disunity saying that the NRM government restored unity across the country and facilitated the establishment of national institutions including security, civil service and development.

President Museveni rallied the voters of Kore District to vote for all NRM Flag bearers in the upcoming general elections for more gains and quantified the progressive impact of wealth creation initiatives to Uganda’s export earnings and Gross Domestic Product as he promised to scaleup the Parish Development Model Fund and promised more wealth creation funds for the District including more beneficiary sectors.

President Museveni promised to boost Industrialization, commercial agricultur in Lango sub region for wealth and job opportunities for area residents and  unveiled a massive fish farming initiative along wetland edges in Kore district and massive irrigation scheme to boost agriculture production in the area and guided on commercial agriculture and irrigation to the people of Kore District with examples of success stories of the same.

The NRM second National Vice Chairperson female Rt HonAnita Among has listed development initiatives in Kore District-including roads, health, Akibua Stadium and others in Lango sub that the electorate need to protect by re-electing the NRM government.

The NRM Vice Chairperson for Northern Uganda Hon Hamson Obua read the regions development status while Okot Boniface the Youth Member of Parliament for Northern Uganda read the Kore district Memorandum.
