Museveni being received by Biukwe District Leaders and Investors at Colony Playgrounds

The National Resistance Movement Party Presidential Candidate Yoweri Kaguta Museveni who concluded his campaign trail in Greater Mukono districts January 3rd has confirmed that the progress of works for the railway is a cost effective means of transport of goods and services for production and low interest funds.

While campaigning at Colony Playgrounds in Buikwe District Candidate Museveni noted that the NRM government is advancing interventions required to propel the economy in including infrastructural developments.

President Museveni promised to enact a minimum wage law upon the accomplishment of key infrastructural developments for production as required by investors and told the electorate in Buikwe District, government’s obligation to enable investments thrive and that of investors which he says is yet to be fully attained before the enactment of the minimum wage law compelling employers on descent pay for their employees.

Ptesident Museveni guided the people of Buikwe District to maintain grip on the available job opportunity sectors including manufacturing that has granted them immense opportunities through the various industries established in their area as government moves to their aid better pay as he listed several other job opportunity sectors to the people in the District.

Candidate Museveni directed the Attorney to explain legal safeguards for legal tenants agaisnt eviction by greedy landlords and noted that the NRM government answered the land tenure question by defining various legal forma of land ownership and tasked tenants to resist illegal evictions as provided for in the Constitution. 

The National Resistance Movement Party Presidential Candidate said that government plans to scaleup landlords compensation and insists that they have no right to evict legal tenants and rallied resisdents of Buikwe District to harness professional management skills of wealth creation funds and follow up on their disbursements at their respective parishes.

He noted that the NRM government intends to ensure that all Ugandans partake of wealth creation initiatives to end poverty and join the money economy and he has tasked all residents of 18 years and above to actively participate in Parish Sacco PDM meetings to determine on the proper utilization of wealth creation funds sent to their parishes and confirmed more support funds for additional sector groups and listed examples of success stories of PDM, OWC, NAADS and other wealth creation interventions.

The First Lady Maama Jannet Kataha Museveni who accompanied the President, unpacked the NRM strategic vision to build a stronger and prosperous Ugnada, a strategy to which all the party efforts and aligned to while the NRM second National Vice Chairperson (female) Rt Hon Anita Among reported absentee landlords causing evictions and officials who stealing PDM funds.

The NRM Vice Chairperson for Buganda Sub-region Hon Haruna Kasolo confirmed unity of NRM fraternity in Buikwe District that guarantees the party’s overwhelming win in the forthcoming general elections.
