KISORO- Police in Kisoro is hunting for yet to be identified assailants who set ablaze 3 houses at kyogo village, kagunga parish, Bukimbiri sub county.

The yet to be identified people suspected to residents of the same address, descended on houses of Robert Semiryango, Herbert Twebaze 28 and Sunday Eriya 36 all residents of Kyogo accusing them of being conmen and bush lawyers to the criminals.

According to Elly Maate the Kigezi regional police mouthpiece, Police visited the crime scene to access the damage caused. Preliminary inquiries made so far shows that over the weekend, Enos Mashaija the Kagunga parish chairman and Onesmus Barijunaki the Kyogo cell chairperson chaired a meeting at around mid day where the plan was hatched from.

Maate told our reporter that the houses were set ablaze on Saturday at around 9pm and no arrest has so far been made but inquiries are at hand at Kisoro police station on ref number CRB 137/2020.

He challenges the residents to always seek assistance from relevant offices instead of practice mob action.
