NEWS– The newly established St Mark Nyakibale Secondary School located in Southern Division in Rukungiri Municipality has had her pioneer students emerge victorious with 31 students getting 1st Grade in the 2023 Uganda Certificate of Education Examinations.
The Headteacher, Ms Fortunate Akanyihayo told our reporter excitedly that their pioneer students have not let the school down and 31 of them managed to get 1st Grade, 12 students got 2nd Grade 8 are in Grade 3 and 4 in Grade four, becoming the 3rd best performing school in Rukungiri District.
The best students include Byoonanebye Ivan who got 12 aggregates followed by Akatuhwera Sabath, Nabimanya Alashious who both got 16 aggregates, Ainomugisha Immaculate got 17 aggregates while Aribihayo Bekham and Nuwamanya Ezra got 19 aggregates.
Ms Akanyihayo said that the students have lived to the School Motto, “You are Capable” and she hoped that those following them will perform even better.
The school started in 2019 and was first disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic but has now emerged as a power house in academics with First Grades scores pitting it against the historical existing schools.
