NEWS- It was pomp and glamour at Parental Care Primary School Bushenyi on Thursday February 15th 2024 as the School celebrated the stellar performance in the 2023 Primary Leaving Examinations PLE.

During the function, Jafari Basajjabalaba the Bushenyi District Chairman who was the day’s Chiefguest urged parents to actively support their children’s learning journey if they wish them well in future.

Basajjabalaba expressed concern that some parents in certain schools have shifted their responsibilities onto the government and teachers, thereby impeding the educational progress of their children.

Addressing the teachers, parents, leaders and other Education stakeholders that graced the function at the School Grounds in Bushenyi Municipality, Basajjabalaba pledged the District Council’s recognition of Parental Care School for its remarkable achievements in the education sector.

The Chiefguest used the same opportunity to request Uganda’s Education Minister and First lady, Hon Janet Kataha Museveni to support Parental Care Nursery and Primary School pupils who won the 2023 African Debate Championship as they prepare to go for World Debate competition in Czech Republic in June this year stressing that they have already put the Country on the African map, hence a chance to shine World over.

Basajjabalaba’s call comes at a time when the Minister is set to visit Bushenyi on 23rd March 2024 to officiate at the grand opening of the teachers’ Sacco and Parental Care Primary School Bushenyi is already on the list of those that will present on the day.

The district boss praised the Parental Care Primary School Bushenyi director and administrators for investing all the efforts possible in ensuring that pupils succeed stressing that it has taken a stride in putting the district at the National table of academic elites.

Mrs. Elivadah Nshemerirwe, the school director, attributed the school’s yearly success in National Exams to its conducive learning environment and positive relationships between all the pillars of education including administrators, teachers, parents, community and all other stakeholders in this sector.

Venerable Canon Didas Natweta, the Archdeacon of Greater Bushenyi Archdeaconry, emphasized the importance of hard work and readiness to face future challenges indicating that success awaits those who are prepared to embrace it.

Ven. Natweta encouraged both pupils and teachers to cultivate discipline and early preparation for future success.

Perez Basiime, the Parental Care Primary School Bushenyi head teacher expressed pride in the school’s impressive results over the past two years pledging to keep the candle burning so that the school remains the best not only in the region but the National scene as well.

It should be remembered that of the Parental Care Bushenyi garnered a 98.8% division one percentage score in the 2023 Primary Leaving Examination results. Of the 90 pupils who sat for 2023 PLE at Parental Care Primary School Bushenyi, 89 passed in division one, 1 in division two. 

8 pupils scored aggregate 5, fourteen pupils passed with aggregate 6, eighteen pupils got 7, twenty passed with aggregate 8, fourteen got aggregate 9, ten candidates got aggregate 10, three pupils pulled 11 aggregate, another three got 12 as the last one passed with the best division two.
