President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has today continued the Parish Development Model assessment tour in Nakasozi village, Kasanje Town in Wakiso District by visiting the Mabamba Model Farm owned by Ms Jacklet Atuhaire Rwabukurukuru who is involved in poultry, dairy farming, fish farming and banana cultivation.
The President commend Ms Rwabukurukuru efforts in establishing such a commercial farm and she is now actively involved in two of the four key sectors the government will prioritise for wealth creation.
The President described her as hardworking example for others to emulate and saluted her for mobilising her neighbouring Parish Development Model beneficiaries and encouraged to remain great soldiers in the fight against poverty.
The President said that he will ask the Ministry of Agriculture Animal Industry and Fisheries to support her with a poultry feed production machinery and also work to extend electricity to Kasanje to boost agro-industrial activity.
President Museveni said that through the Ministry of Works and Transport, they are working on the tarmacking of the Kasanje road because the area had lacked proper transport infrastructure but in the coming months they will begin the tarmacking.
