President Museveni holds a meeting with DRC President Felix Tshisekedi

KAMPALA- President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has today received and held a meeting with the President of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Felix Antoine Tshisekedi Thilombo at State House Entebbe.

The two leaders discussed, among other issues, the security between Uganda and Democratic Republic of Congo, Regional Security, and infrastructural developments, including key roads of mutual economic benefit.

President Museveni said that he is in agreement with President Tshisekedi that what Democratic Republic Congo needs is what Uganda needs and therefore they must see priority areas to work on for the benefit of the two countries.

President Museveni thanked his counterpart President Tshisekedi for responding positively to his invitation for this meeting which will go a long way in developing the two countries.

President Tshisekedi Thilombo arrived in Uganda earlier in the day for a working visit and was welcomed at the Airport by the Ugandan Minister of Defense and Veterans Affairs Hon Jacob Oboth-Oboth.

This meeting comes two weeks after a gathering in Kinshasa between senior military officials from both countries to assess the effectiveness of operations against armed groups in the region and President Tshisekedi was accompanied by the Congolese Minister of Infrastructure, Alexis Gisaro and other members of the cabinet.
