With over 90 districts of Uganda, the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Presidential candidate, H:E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni Tibuhaburwa has held massive and successful rallies, with huge masses of people coming to these rally venues and others gathering on roadside in different towns and trading centres to wave or even listen to their most trusted, experienced and loved leader.
Candidate Museveni has kept his message clearly hinged on the National Resistance Movement (NRM), achievements and the promises in the manifesto.
Offcourse all these promises are strong on what NRM believes in, Patriotism, Pan Africanism, Democracy and social economic transformation.
In all that NRM Government does with President Museveni at the helm, wether it’s is Education, Job Creation, Health, Infrastructure development, Peace and Security, Justice for all, Information Technology or even the integration of East Africa to expand on the market for goods and services so as to grow jobs and our economic muscles.
Democracy is core and at the heart of all Ugandans no matter which tribe, clan, religion or political party. Reason, Uganda moved from single party system to a multi party dispensation.
As peace and Democratic loving Ugandans who belong to NRM party and are equally leaders, we condemn the brutal force that was displayed during NUP’s candidate, Robert Kyaguranyi, the video or even camera scenes of men and women flogging non violent human beings like animals was really terrible and un called for.
It erodes Uganda’s democratic principles that NRM stands for but at the same time it puts our Country’s image in a dirty position!
Okay, let us assume that Mr Kyaguranyi and his convey were not supposed to use that route to the rally venue, was beating people who had decided to walk on streets peacefully really called for?
Whoever commanded that road block or beating operation in Gulu, must be brought to book/account!
We are in Pro people politics not war, these scenes were not only uncalled for but also took us the NRM leaders and the good NRM Government backward!
*We were boosting of a professionalised army and police, peace and security! But alas! The scenes created by the army and police do not only embarass us but also errode our democratic efforts in achieving a free and fair election.*
*What was wrong giving security to Candadidate Kyaguranyi up to his rally venue?*
*We demmand for answers from the Police and the army leadership.*
*Men and Women in uniform, are here to serve Ugandans no matter the political or tribal or clan or religious shades.*
We must strive to continue #ProtectingTheGains Ugan̈da has achieved in peace and security and the steady leadership of H:E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and the NRM Government.
Let other candidates freely mobilise as we also mobilise for our NRM flagbearers, we shall address voter apathy and am pretty sure our Presidential flagbearer Yoweri Kaguta Museveni will massively win, the achievements and promises are quite visible, there is hope and vision for the future!
