President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni campaigning at St Leo's College Playgrounds in Fort Portal City

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has congratulated Ugandans on the orderly ending of Presidential, Parliamentary, Local Govts and elections and eventually the country will hold the LC1s election exercise. 

According to a statement issued today which this Radio has got a copy, President Museveni noted that over the course of the campaigns, he addressed 143 rallies across 153 districts, engaging directly with the people in what he found to be consultative and celebratory gatherings.

President Museveni noted that the elections have clarified the real balance of forces in Uganda and the strength and membership of the National Resistance Movement demonstrate overwhelming national support. 

He also said that even as the country acknowledge outstanding issues such as UPE gaps, corruption, feeder roads and shortages of drugs in health centres, the Movement remains firmly rooted among the people.

 In the 11 page statement, President Museveni pointed out that the National Resistance Movement government will endover to resolve these issues, and the party support will only grow stronger.
