President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has met the outgoing and incoming Lango Sub-region Members of Parliament at State House, Entebbe and congratulated them on the National Resistance Movement strong electoral performance, which he said was the best since 1996.
President Museveni urged the Members of Parliament to prioritize pro-people programs to boost household incomes and livelihoods, ensuring effective delivery of initiatives like the Parish Development Model (PDM), Emyooga, and other wealth-creation programs to every household.
He also emphasized strengthening service delivery in health, roads and infrastructure for overall development.

On behalf of the delegation, the NRM Vice Chairperson for Northern Uganda, Hon Denis Hamson Obua thanked the President for the meeting and his leadership and called on the leaders to emulate President Museveni’s example in promoting unity and discipline, while stressing the need to fight corruption and ensure effective implementation of government programs.
The Members of Parliament commended the NRM government’s development impact in the region, particularly through the Parish Development Model, which has improved many households’ livelihoods, alongside progress in infrastructure and social services.
