European Union Ambassador to Uganda Jan Sadek hands over a plaque to Prime Minister Rt Hon Robinah Nabbanja

NEWS- The Prime Minister Rt Hon Robinah Nabbanja has assured the European Union investors of the government of Uganda support saying that everything in its power will be done to facilitate all potential Investors to set up businesses in Uganda.

The Prime Minister made the remarks yesterday while presiding over the official closure of the Uganda-EU Business Forum that has been going on at Speke Resort Munyonyo in Kampala.

Hon Nabbanja said that Uganda is an investment hub in East and central Africa and outlined the comparative advantage Uganda has in Africa because the country exported to the European Union goods worth 800 million Euros and imported products from the Union valued at 700 million Euros.

While speaking at the same event, the Head of the EU Delegation to Uganda, Jan Sadek said that the European Union is committed to further grow the trade and investments in Uganda and that more European companies are getting interested in investing in Uganda,

According to the Chairman of Uganda Investment Authority Chairman Morrison Rwakakamba, the Uganda-EU Business Forum 2024, was held under the theme “Boosting Trade and Investments; what can Uganda gain from the Global Gateway”.
