The Police in Rukungiri District have confirmed that one person has died following a single fatal accident along the Rukungiri-Ntungamo Road that took place last night near Rwabigangura Trading Centre in Kebisoni Town Council along Rukungiri – Ntungamo Highway
Kigezi Regional Police Spokesman Nelson Tumushime disclosed that the crash involved vehicle registration number UA 925BL, which was being driven by Onesmus Natukunda who allegedly lost control and overturnwd several times, sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.

Tumushime said that the Police in Rukungiri documented the incident and advised motorists to ensure their vehicles are in good mechanical condition before using the roads and observe traffic rules, avoid speeding and refrain from dangerous overtaking to reduce road accidents.
Meanwhile one person has been seriously injured after a fire broke out in a house in Kekubo Cell in Kirigime Ward, Southern Division of Kabale Municipality.
According to Police, the fire gutted one of the rooms occupied by a tenant, leaving one person seriously injured and preliminary investigations indicate that the fire could have been caused by faulty or poor electrical wiring in the house.
The incident was reported to Police, who have since commenced investigations to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the fire.
Elsewhere, in Kasese District, the Police are investigating circumstances surrounding the death of 34 year old Mbusa Enosi.
The deceased was a resident of Katumba cell in Kihungu Parish in Kyarumba Sub-county, whose lifeless body was discovered along the route to his home in Kyabaghema village.
Rwenzori East Regional Police Spokesperson Elly Maate has confirmed the incident that took place yesterday and Police were alerted, inquiries initiated and the deceased is said to have been a renown alcohol addict.
The Police has since appealed to the general public to stop acts of drug abuse, or do so responsively to guard against such incidents.
