Prime Minister Rt Hon Robinah Nabbanja has commissioned the newly constructed St John’s Parish Church in Entebbe Municipality which cost Ugx 5.8 billion.
The 1000-seat church replaces the old 1908 colonial structure build by colonial administration under sir Andrew Benjamin Cohen which had become too small.
The old building, now a tourism site and memorial, will also serve as a Sunday school church for children after renovations.

Prime Minister Nabbanja who represented President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni at the event hailed the community for pooling resources together to ensure that that the new structure is put in place.
