KASESE- Over forty houses were last evening destroyed by the heavy rains and wind in Katwe-Kabatooro town council, Busongora County South in Kasese District.

The catastrophe happening at around 6pm when heavy rains with wind were witnessed in the area leaving most families homeless.

According to residents, the blown iron sheets injured some people who are now under medication in the area.

Mr. David Isimbwa the Busongora county South Member of Parliament hopeful who sympathized with the affected families, quickly called upon the District disaster committee to visit the affected families to prepare a report to higher offices for rescue.

By press time, authorities were on ground establishing the magnitude of the damage.
