Bishop Andrew Okusi said church leaders especially pastors should use the Godly given opportunity they have to tell their followers that early marriages are bad since they are the core causes of domestic violence and breakdown of families.

Speaking on the same day, Bishop Vincent, head of born again pastors in Rubirizi district, said though pastors are ambassadors of God, they should also work together to attain development in the communities they serve.

“Then I ask you to always  go to villages and visit families then talk to parents and tell them the side effects of early marriages, don’t sit and wait for them in churches, try to do some work every day and save lives”, Bishop Vicent said.

Bataringaya Ben, the director Covoid who had represented Rubirizi district Woman MP Hon Kesande Grace Bataringaya advised couples to embrace God’s love in their families and avoid domestic violence if they want to live happily.
