NEWS- The Police in Mitooma District have in detention two people suspected of stealing timber in Kanganga cell, Rwanja East parish in Mayanga sub County.
The duo was arrested on Tuesday night, November 26th 2024 at around 10:50pm stealing timber from Kagurusi Anthony, a resident of the same village.
This was after the residents mobilized among themselves a group of underground security team to curb the ever rising theft cases in the area.
They have since been identified as Kaboyi Vincent and Stephano aka Kifano of Kanganga Rwanja East – Mayanga.
Their arrest comes at a time when residents have been tired with people stealing their property including Kagurutsi’s building materials and demolishing his house which is under construction.
By press time, Police was yet to issue a statement regarding the arrest, but we promise to keep you updated with all the details as they emerge.
